Szymon Józwiak was born in 1987. He began his musical education at age of 12 as a clarinetist. He studied clarinet at Music Academy in Poznan and composition with Prof. Lidia Zielinska. As a performer he focuses on contemporary chamber and electronic music repertoire.
Special area of his interest embraces exploring new instrumental possibilities of clarinet and relations between acoustic instruments and electronic sounds.
Szymon Józwiak is a member of Sepia Ensemble since 2012. As a soloist and chamber musician he performed works of 20th and 21th century at many festivals in Poland and abroad, a.o. Poznanska Wiosna Muzyczna (Poland) and Musicacoustica Beijing (China). He also played concerts in Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, Belarus.
